how does baking powder different from baking soda​

Baking soda contains only one ingredient that is Sodium Bicarbonate, where as baking powder contains 2 ingredients that is baking soda and some other acid like tartaric acid.

While both products appear similar, they are certainly not the same. Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate, which requires an acid and a liquid to get activated and help baked goods rise. Conversely Baking powder includes sodium bicarbonate,as well as an acid. It only needs a liquid to become activated.
