How does belief in the spirit influence your behavior and views in life?​

It used to influence my life in a negative way when I was a practicing Jehovahs Witness, in a fearful way. I was afraid of so called demons and had an uneasiness about life after death. In general the “beliefs” I had been taught since childhood affected my experiences. After my husband died, I had several undeniable experiences with a spirit/energy force. Due to my indoctrinated beliefs I was fearful of that interaction. I have since given up that belief system and in hindsight find those experiences interesting and beautiful. I don't have a religious view of spirits or life after death therefore my day to day living is not influenced by that.
