How does biofuel help agriculture and reduce air pollution?
Answers
biofuel contain various organic matter for the better growth of crops and helps improve texture of soil and thereby agriculture
biofuel help agriculture and reduce air pollution but They can, but it depends which type is used and how well it is burned. A modern diesel car running on mineral diesel will produce less air pollution than an older diesel running on farm fresh biodiesel.
Biofuels tend to have a major advantage over fossil fuels in that they contain less sulphur so produce less sulfur dioxide. They also contain more oxygen so burn more completely as well as producing less soot as the oxygen available burns off the soot and particulates rather than releasing them, this also gives reduced CO emissions. They can also be synthesised to have a more uniform chain length of molecule so there are fewer unburnt hydrocarbons being released. However, the nitrogen oxides being released are generally comparable if not a bit higher than fossil fuels due to the greater oxygen content reacting with nitrogen in the air at temperature, although this can be combatted with exhaust gas recirculation.
