pulmonary artery brings blood to lungs to the heart (gaseous exchange takes place in lungs in alveoli between capillaries) pulmonary veins bring blood to heart from lungs.this is oxygenated blood.

Explanation:

Blood circulate between lungs and heart in human beings through the process called pulmonary circulation.

• “Deoxygenated or impure blood” from various parts of body collects in the right heart chambers – the “right auricle” and right ventricle.

• This ‘deoxygenated blood’ from the right heart chambers reaches the lungs through “pulmonary vein”.

• There this blood “absorbs oxygen” and “releases carbon dioxide” and gets oxygenated or pure.

• Pure oxygenated blood from lungs then enters through the left chambers of the heart – left auricle and left ventricle through the ‘pulmonary vein’.

• Pure oxygenated blood is then pumped to different parts of body from these left heart chambers.
