It speeds up heart beat and breathing, raises blood pressure and allows more glucose(Carbohydrate) to go into the blood to give us lot of energy quickly to run or fight. And Hence it is an emergency hormone.

Adrenalin is a hormone secreted by the adrenal glands in case of any danger or emergency or any kinds of stress. It is secreted directly into the blood and is transported to different parts of the body
