Booker T Washington had the habit of delivering practical straight forward Sunday Evening Talks to the students and teachers for many years in Tuskegee Institute. These addresses have had much to do with the building up of the character.

In his talk, Two Sides of Life he advise the teachers and trainers to develop frankness and honesty in their teaching.Whenever they get to a point where a student asks them a question which they are not able to answer or asks something about a subject on which they are not well informed then they will find it better to say frankly and honesty,"I am unable to answer your question".Then the will respect them more for their frankness and honesty. As the truly educated man was not the one who had all knowledge in his head, but the one who knew where to look for information upon any subject upon which at any time he might want information.
