Doctors know that breast cancer occurs when some breast cells begin to grow abnormally. These cells divide more rapidly due to the cells lossing the ability of contact inhibition than healthy cells do and continue to accumulate, forming a lump or mass. Cells may spread (metastasize) through your breast to your lymph nodes or to other parts of your body.as  they are malignent types of cancer it is really harmful and causes much more damage

There are different reasons why breast lumps develop. Most lumps are not cancerous and do not pose any risk. Causes include infection, trauma, fibroadenoma, cyst, fat necrosis, or fibrocystic breasts. Breast lumps may develop in both males and females, but they are much more common in females

The most common form of treatment for breast cancer is surgery. This involves removing the tumor and nearby margins. Surgical options may include a lumpectomy, partial mastectomy, radical mastectomy, and reconstruction.
