carbon mostly enters in a combined state as carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide from the the emissions of vehicles and the chimneys of the factories snd in burning fossil fuels. in free state carbon is found as small particles of soot coming out along with the emissions of factories.

Carbon enters the atmosphere in following ways-
1. When human release carbon dioxide after respiration.
2. When fossil fuel and fuel in vehicle are burned carbon dioxide is released.
3. When incomplete combustion take place carbon monooxide is released.
