cattle is animal I.e., living organism like any other, needs a balanced and nutritious diet for its growth and maintenance. moreover milk is nothing but blood which is converted in mammary glands. extraction of milk is loss of blood from its body generally occurs over a short period of time for its new born. as cattle rearers expect and extract milk from it on daily basis, they have to make sure they are providing enough nutrients for cattle's recuperation. generally fodder with moisture in it, like grass and oil cakes, molasses give better nutrition than dry grass or hay and increase milk yield

like other animals, cattles also suffer from a no. of diseases. these besides causing death, also reduce milk amount
