Cell movement of water takes place in plants through osmosis as well as diffusion.

EXPLANATION:

Water passes to the roots from the soil through the process of osmosis. The water moves through the xylem and from the xylem to the leaves through the process of diffusion.

Diffusion takes place because of the water gradient potential difference between the xylem and the leaves. Diffusion and osmosis are also used to transport water to other parts of the plant.
