its not temperature that causes change in the body's state..... its the heat energy imparted to it.....

temperature is just a physical quantity to measure tge degree of hotnesd or coldness of a body and to determine the direction of flow of heat when two bodies are connected

Heat is a form of energy capable of bringing about changes in the system's characteristics

so heat result the change in state while temperature is the measure of the heat of the body at that state
