As in humans chemical coordination occur by endocrine system plants too have chemical coordination with the help of plant hormones called PGR (plant growth regulators)

These are mainly classified into 2 categories.

  1. Plant growth promoters

Eg: auxin, cytokinin, gibberellic acid

2. plant growth inhibitors

Eg: abscissic acid, ethylene
