ciliary muscles are the muscles which are attached to the eye lens and helps eye lens to accommodate the focal length of it.

during the distinct vision ciliary muscles relaxis and focal length becomes maximum 2.5cm

and near vision ciliary muscles get contract and focal length is reduced to 2.27 cm

this is how ciliary muscles are accommodates focal length in between the range of 2.5 centimetres to 2.27cm
