Like some non metals are also solids , say coal but thay do not conduct electricity
But most of the solids are good conductors of electricity

In solids, molecules are tightly packed with each other. The current passes from one molecule to another in a very easy manner,molecule to molecule. (As molecules are in contact with each other.
