How does conduction of water take place in plant's ? Explain its mechanism.

The water conduction inside of a plant takes place with the help of the conductive tissues which are known as the xylem. And intracellular water conduction takes place with the help of the biological osmosis procedure.

Plants obtain required water from the soil which moves inside plant from the root hairs. Most of the absorbed water by the plant is lost by evaporation from leaf surface after transpiration. Water has to move continuously from root to highest part of the plant. Transpiration is the process by which the process of water movement is achieved against the force of gravity. For this, xylem vessels act as a system continuously conducting water from the root tips through stems, leaves and finally reaching the veins and ending up at the mesophyll tissue of the leaves
