Plant and animal cells both undergo mitoticcell divisions. Their main difference is how they form the daughter cells duringcytokinesis. During that stage, animal cellsform furrow or cleavage that gives way to formation of daughter cells.

●Cell plate formation starts at the centre of the cell and grows outward, toward the lateral walls.

●The division of the cytoplasm takes place by cell furrow method.
