decrease in temperature leads to the growth of many vrrities of plants and animals. for ex-snowlepards can only survive in cold climates. so they adapt themselves to that particular condition. coniferous forests are usually found in the Himalayas due to the cold climate. they have sharp leaves in the form of a cone to prevent snow from piling on them. SO THERE IS CORRESPONDING CHANGE IN NATURAL VEGETATION IN MOUNTAIN AREAS.

The northern slopes of the hills in Himalayan region are at high altitude and have low   temperature or are snow covered. This does not allow much vegetation. In the southern part   of the hills there are plains and valleys watered by rivers and with fertile soil and pleasant

temperature levels all required for dense growth of vegetation.
