Democracy accomodated social diversity due to the following reasons :
. it provides equal rights to all
. People have the right to choose their leaders and representatives
. It provides equal opportunities for all and works for the empowerment of backward and weaker sections of society
. it allows fair representation representation to all regardless of caste ,creed , colour, race or any other things
. it tries to reduce inequality and poverty
. it helps to resolve conflicts among social groups and communities where they perceive their identity as citizens of one nation.
