Democracy is government of the people by the people and for the people. It is the principle of political equality on recognizing that to the poorest to the richest has the same status, people are not the subjects to the ruler they are the rulers themselves. Even when they make mistakes, they are responsible for their conduct. Hence,Democracy enhances the dignity of a citizen.

Democracy Give Citizen political power , 'citizen choose their representative to make law for them ' either contest election , ruling power are vested in all citizen equally thus giving them sense of dignity.

Democracy evolved as how state can give maximum freedom to their citizen thus idea like' fundamental Rights ' came up, for citizen so 'state' can't deprive them and individual could grow to their full potential , freedom is established by 'rule of law' with sence of equality in opportunity thus maximizing freedom
