Diaphragm neecha chala jaata hai, meaning it becomes flattened when earlier in the resting postition it was done shaped, thus increasing the volume for the air inhaled.

Underneath the lungs, there is a dome shaped muscle called diaphragm. When the diaphragm contracts, oxygen rich air is pulled inside the lungs. Exchange of gases takes place in the lungs and carbon dioxide is pumped out from the lungs when the diaphragm relaxes.
A large dome-shaped muscle under the lungs called the diaphragm squeezes downward when you breathe in, making a vacuum that causes a rush of fresh air into your lungs. The opposite happens when you breathe out -- your diaphragm relaxes upward, pushing on your lungs, letting them deflate.
