The growth of tissues in animals and plants are completely different and depends upon the feeding mechanism.

In the plants the minerals and water are transported to the leaves where photosynthesis take place with the help of sunlight and food is produces that helps the tissue of the plant to grow.

In animals, the growth of the tissue depends on the external foods taken orally. Plants make their foods, but animals depend on others.
