The atmosphere is the blanket of air surrounding the earth.
It is responsible for the existence of life on the Earth.
The composition of the gases in the atmosphere is:
78% nitrogen
21% oxygen
1% - carbon dioxide, noble gases ,water vapour and some other particulates.
The atmosphere traps the sun's heat energy and does not allow it to escape into the outer space.
Thus it keeps the day cooler and the night warmer.
It prevents us from the burning meteors.
It has life giving gases which supports plant life and animal life.
Conclusion:
The atmosphere makes our earth unique and is one of the most important reasons for the life to exist here.
