• There are different tectonic plates placed beneath the surface of Earth and when there is a sudden change in the movement of these tonic plates.
• The area just above the surface where the movement is taking place starts to vibrate and the vibration that is experience is known as an earthquake.
• It  has an adverse effect on transport and communication because there is a lot of damage that takes place during an earthquake.
• The electric poles may get damage by the buildings, we get damage and hence the communication systems can go down due to earthquake buildings, May fall down and transport systems get affected.
