How does exposure to sunlight help to prevent Vitamin D deficiency?
Is Vitamin D directly absorbed from sunlight? or does sunlight act as catalyst or initiate a reaction for synthesis of this vitamin?

Vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin and also as calciferol.
we have a layer of ergosterol below our skin.
This ergosterol absorbs sunlight and synthesis vitamin d
obviously when u stand under the sun more of vitamin d will be synthesized which will prevent its deficiency.
