The factory waste consists of harmful chemicals and waste which is hazardous for marine life. It also affects the food chain , i.e , like a fish eats any chemical and is caught by the fisherman and sells it to the shop and the person who buy and eat it will also get affected by the chemical and after when he dies the scavengers eat their body and they also get affected and hence the food chain gets affected...
Hope it will help you.
