⚫Mechanism of fertilisation :
- Semen is deposited in vagina during intercourse.
- Sperms swim upward and reach Fallopian tube through uterus.
- Ovulation occurs and ovum is trapped by Fallopian funnel.
- Ovum reaches Fallopian tube by peristalsis.
- Sperm enters ovum with the help of enzyme hyaluronidase.
⚫Because only one ovum is released by human ovary in a month.
