The meaning of the Jawaharlal Nehru’s statement “Freedom and power brings responsibility” is that freedom denotes that you are responsibility for each and every step of yours. Your deeds will bring you consequences and for these you cannot hold responsible for anyone else but you. So the people are quite afraid of freedom as they are afraid to take responsibilities.
