Answer: Salarino knew that Antonio was a rich merchant . So , he tried to diagnose the melancholic mindset of Antonio was referring that Antonio was sad because he had huge ships with royal or stately ships which moved in different directions .So, it was obvious that Antonio was doing a risky job which made him feel gloomy .
