The School Boy

William Blake

Formal education does nothing but hinders the growth of the child. It makes the child dull and boring.

The children spend the whole day sighing and dismay in the eyes of a cruel teachers. There are confined to the four walls of the classroom. They consider themselves as a prisoners , school as prison and teachers as jailors . Moreover like a caged birds whose freedom of flying in the sky is taken forcefully away.

Parents don't understand the fact that the child loves to learn from nature than formal schooling. He loves to rise in the early morn and sing along with the Skylark.
