In the beginning of the 19th century, many developments changed the scenario of Europe. Due to surge in the industrial revolution in Europe, there was large scale developments of urbanization. During the process of urbanization, there were issues such as overcrowding and over concentration of poor in the cities. There was poor quaility of housing as the number of poor individuals increased rapidly. There was lack of proper clean running water and proper facility of sanitation. There was acute shortage of ventilation and light all through. These all factors contributed to the spread of various vulnerable and communicable disease which were very fatal. There was issues of social tensions among the rich and the poor. As the industrialisation brought a lot of opportunities but that too also brought immense gap between the rich and the poor. This brought in the issues of poverty in the society. People had no better income and most poor people had to work in inhuman conditiions. They were not even paid their wages which was their right. Even if they were paid it was so less that it would not take care of their families. The economic condition of the countries grew but this also brought a disparity in the income in the society.
