-women are paid less even when the men do exactly the same work

-some orthodox still believe that the job of women is to take care of home and perform household activities

-the environment is also not favourable and secure for women to work alone

-many parents prefer to spend more on their boy's education than that of girl's education

-many girls are lagged behind because they are kept engaged in domestic work from the beginning of their life

-many parents even do not prefer to have a girl child and get them aborted even before she is born.
