Transfer of genes happens from one generation to another when the cells divide within an organisms. In the cells, the nucleus, which is membrane bound, Has certain bundled and tangled structured called chromatin fibre. When cell division happens and the organism reproduces, These chromatin fibres harden to form chromosomes. A certain part of these chromosomes are responsible for the mental, physical and biological traits of the next generation. These are called genes.

These genes duplicate in the new organism.
