The culture of a place is well represented in their music by the genre and in the instrument being used e.g in Kenya, the Luo community that resides in the western part of Kenya; in Kisumu, they sing songs about the lake (L.Victoria) and the common economic activity which is fishing and they believe it makes their fishing expedition successful. In other KENYA communities,e.g the Maasai sing songs about the climatic conditions, nomadism and the practice of pastoralism.
