Traditional definitions. In Christianity aprophet (or seer) is one inspired byGod through the Holy Spirit to deliver a message for a specific purpose. God'scalling of someone as a prophet doesnot have the purpose of to elevating an individual for their own glory, but for the glory of God and to turn people to him.

The prophet helps other humans to know abt god more....god gives tge prophet some special message to be delivered to the people
