The chambers of the heart together make it work as a double pump. Oxygen rich blood flows from the lungs to the left atrium. It is then pumped out to the rest of your body from the left ventricle. Meanwhile, the de-oxygenated blood enters the heart through the right atrium.

the heart is a muscular organ which is as big as our fist.the heart contain 4 chambers the upper chambers are known as auricles and the lower ones is known as ventricles.
heart convert deoxygeneted blood to oxygenated blood. this process is as follows..
1. vena cava from upper and lower body brings the deoxygeneted blood to right atrium.
2. right atrium ... it receive the blood from the upper and lower vena cava and pump it to right ventricle.
3. right ventricle.. it contracts and push the blood into pulmonary artery.
4.pulmonary artery... it carries the deoxygeneted blood from right ventricle to lungs where blood get purify.
5. pulmonary veins... it carries oxygenated blood from lung to left atrium.
6. it recieve oxygeneted blood from the pulmonary veins and pump it to left ventricle.
7. left ventricle.. it receive oxygenated blood from left atrium and pump it to aorta.
8. aorta... the main artery in the human body. it distributes the oxygenated blood to all parts of the body.
9. it prevent the backward flow of the blood.
