How does heat from the sun reaches at what speed does this transfer of heat take place?

Heat is just uv rays from the sun, thus the speed=3*$10^{8}$m/s(speed of electromagnetic waves)

And for these rays to reach the earth it takes about 8 mins and 20 sec approx

And since they are electromagnetic they can travel without and material medium thus they travel through vaccum and reach the earth
