as height increases the acceleration due to gravity decreases and we go inside earth then also decreases the place where it is constant is surface of earth means if increase or decrease height the acceleration due to gravity will only decrease it is only constant is on the surface of earth.
see by formula
- g′=g(R/h+R)^2 (let h+r=a)
- g′ ∝ 1/a
- meaning if you go above the earth surface g′ will decrease
- g'=g(1-R/d) for depth too you see g' is inversely proportional so if you go deep the acceleration due to gravity will decrease
- d is height of depth
- and g' ∝ 1/d
- I hope it will help you
