hello Sanjana
here is your answer
HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus.
It is a deadly virus which causes AIDS (Acquired immune deficiency syndrome).
It's doesn't spread by shaking hands or any physical contact but it transfers from one body to another by making sexual relationship or transmission of infected person's blood to a healthy person and by using infected needle.
◆How HIV affects
The Infection caused by HIV cannot be seen from outside the body although it can be found only by blood checkup of any infected person.
It affects our immune system. It damages our immune system and make as weak that it losses the capacity to save us from the disease.
When our immune system became weak then a normal fever can damage our body badly.
A normal fever can turn into malaria or viral fever.
As our body losses the capacity to fight with the diseases then a normal disease can harm us badly or it may lead to our death.
hope it helps
