HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system. The immune system becomes weaker, making it harder for the body to fight off infections and some kinds of cancers. Most people who are diagnosed early and take medicines for HIV can live long, healthy lives. Pls mark as brainliest

Explanation:
1) A particular type of immune system cell in our body is being attacked by HIV known as CD4 Helper cell or T- cell. It becomes much more harder for a body to fight off infections and diseases when HIV damages and destroys this cell.
2) It becomes more difficult for a body to respond and react to newer infections when the HIV is being left untreated in our body.
3) When the HIV virus enters the body, it also makes the cells to multiply in a large number. When the certain number of CD4 cells are being destroyed by the virus and when the count of CD4 cells is dropped below 200, it can lead to a severe disease called as AIDS.
