Besides, we have gone through the hardships of the British rule, which has taught the importance of the basic principles of freedom, dignity and peaceful coexistence.

भारत की जो वर्तमान विदेश नीति है उसके अंतर्गत भारत चाहता है कि भारत के जो पड़ोसी राष्ट्र हैं या फिर या फिर वैसे राष्ट्र जो भारत के साथ मैत्रीपूर्ण संबंध स्थापित करना चाहते हैं  भारत उन्हें खुले दिल से स्वीकार करता है ऐसे देशों के साथ भारत का व्यापार  वस्तुओं   सेवाओं का आयात निर्यात से लेकर उनके उनके साथ  बाजारों का स्वतंत्र रूप से उनके लिए खुला होना भारत की विदेश नीति का एक अच्छा उदाहरण है भारत चाहता है  कि भारत जो है आर्थिक रुप से मजबूत बने सैन्य रूप से सशक्त बने इसके लिए वह पूरे विश्व में अपनी अपनी विदेश नीति को इतना सरल बनाना चाहता है कि पूरे विश्व में यह एक सेतु के रूप में भारत जाना जाए जो पूरे आर्थिक विकास के सुदृढ़ीकरण के लिए आवश्यक है
