Amoeba is a unicellular organism where single cell performs all the processes like nutrition, respiration, excretion, reproduction etc. ... Amoeba extends its pseudopodia when the food is found. Pseudopodium just wraps around the food molecule and forms a food vacuole around it.

Amoeba engulfs tiny particles of food with the help of its false feet called Pseudopodia. This process is called circumvallation. The Pseudopodia close to form a small cavity called food vacuole. Here the enzymes help the breakdown of food into simpler and soluble molecules. This then get absorbed and assimilated and residue is thrown out through the contractile vacuole, as Amoeba has no anus. so it can excrete from any part .
