Answer:

Leaves of insectivorous plants are modified to trap insects. for eg. in a pitcher plant, each leaf is modified into a pitcher like structure. When an insect such as a fly sits on pitcher the lid closes to trap the insect. it gets entangled in the hair of the pitcher plant and is killed by the digestive juices secreted inside the pitcher.

Answer:

Some insectivorous plants secrete digestive enzymes that dissolve the insect for absorption. Others have bacteria or mites in their digestive tract that mimic the functions of the human digestive tract. They digest the prey for absorption by the plants.
