Kinetic energy has different phases in states of matter
1. In solids the molecules are closely packed together so kinetic energy will be more in them.
2. In liquids the molecules are weakly held together and have dipole dipole forces so there will be less kinetic energy.
3.In gases, the particles move freely so there will be no kinetic energy.
