hyy..
The Tropic of Cancer passes through the middle of the country from Rann of Kutch in the West to Mizoram in the East. Half of the country lies to the South of Tropic of Cancer and it belongs to the tropical area. All the remaining area lies to the North of the tropics.
Latitude of the country decides the incidence of sun rays on that particular part.
Latitude doesn't affects India`s climate. It was made to measure and locate the places on the Earth.

hello friend!!
The Tropic of Cancer divides the country into the tropical zone and the subtropical zone. The line runs from Rann of Kuchchh to Mizoram. all the remaining area, north of tropic, lies in subtropics.
so, India's climate has characteristics of tropical as well as subtropical climates.
