latitude plays a very significant role in the climate of India due to the latitude only India has tropical region and it has high temperature during summers and low temperature during winters moreover Tropic of Cancer also passes through India

• the places located near the equator receives direct rays of the sun. hence, the temperature of these place are extremely hot with high temperature.

• further we above , the tropical regions have hot and humid climate. the sun rays are less concentrated in these regions due to the curvature of the earth.
• the top most latitude is the polar regions where the temperature is extremely low and freezing. these regions receive slanting rays of the sun.
