The 0 degree latitude is the equator, which gets straight rays of sunlight and thus it is very hot. The more closer the place to equator the higher the temperature. The earth can be divided into 3 zones according to the distance from equator.
The Tropic zone- the hottest zone
Temperate zone- pleasant temperature.
Frigid zone- extremely cold
