Answer:

The eye lens is composed of a fibrous, jelly-like material. Ciliary muscles change the curvature of the eye lens and that changes the focal length. It helps to see distant and nearby objects clearly. A person needs a lens of power –5.5 dioptres for correcting his distant vision.

Answer:

The ciliary muscles hold the lens of human eye which helps it to become thin or think simply it helps the lens to adjust its focal length.

When ciliary muscles contract, the lens becomes thin. As we know, the focal length of thin lens is high. Thus, when any object is at a long distance, the eye lens becomes thin enabling us to see the object clearly.
