listening to loud sounds or music can damage our eardrums which are very tiny organs located in our inner ear which helps us to listen due to the vibrations of the sound it hits our eardrums and when the frequency range is higher it can cause loss of hearing or in certain situations where there is permanent loss of hearing. this is why certain instruments such as hearing aids are used in elders and sometimes it's a completely different scenario when someone who have a hearing deficiency also have it it is because they are born deaf. hope it helps you!!
