Hy there,
There are many differences between the two.
Lymph - Lack of a pump in lymphatic system whereas blood is pumped by the heart to the whole body. Lymph flows through the veins in a passive manner.
Blood flows throughout the body and transports oxygen whereas lymphatic system removes the waste and other products.
The constituents of blood are different from those of lymph. Blood consists of liquid plasma, white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets. The filtered lymph that is channeled into the cardiovascular system is more like a milky white or clear liquid.
Example of lymphatic system functioning-
Lymph nodes get enlarged in certain infections like HIV AIDS, tonsillitis, TB, and many more.
Whereas in blood, no. Of WBCs increases in such conditions, to fight for the infection as they are considered as soldiers of the body and act as first line of defence.
Hope it helps.
Thanks.
