During the inauguration, Mandela was happy to see all world leaders coming to their soil, to attend the ceremony which was hosted by the Africans ( who were out-cast few decades ago).

On the day of ceremony, he was accompanied by his daughter Zenani. on the podium Mr de Klerk was sworn in as the second deputy president and Thabo Mbeki was sworn in as the first deputy president. when his turn came, Mandela owed to uphold the constitution.

He, symbolically referred that it was autumn day as the old leaves of oppression are shedding.
